After much anticipation our Design-A-Thon Day has arrived at St Bernadette's!
The Design-A-Thon provides students with the opportunity to utilise their creative and innovative skills, designing various sculptures, artworks and products.
The students involved had a blast and we're all looking forward to our next Design-A-Thon in 2018!

Wednesday, all Year 5 Students presented a self-written slam poem. 18 Students made it through to the '2026 Year 5 Poetry Slam' with 1st place awarded to Erin, 2nd place to Elyssa and 3rd place to Zac. Poem topics included political statements, passions and social justice and environmental causes. It was inspiring to listen to brave young voices.

On Thursday Year 5 participated in a science incursion with 'Ranger Jamie'. Students learnt about circuits and renewable energy. They were engaged in two STEM activities where they explored renewable energy by creating a solar oven and an electric windmill.
