After much anticipation our Design-A-Thon Day has arrived at St Bernadette's!
The Design-A-Thon provides students with the opportunity to utilise their creative and innovative skills, designing various sculptures, artworks and products.
The students involved had a blast and we're all looking forward to our next Design-A-Thon in 2018!

As part of our Faith In Action Initiative, Years 1 and 2 will be taking part in Socktober on Thursday October 22nd. Socktober is a Catholic Mission program that helps children learn about global poverty and encourages us to take action to support children and communities around the world. All funds raised help support projects that provide children in need with things such as education, healthcare, food and opportunities. WILLIAM IS OFF TO THE GRAND FINAL! Yesterday, William proudly represented St Bernadette’s at the Voice of Youth Semi Finals. The Voice of Youth competition involves hundreds of Year 6 students from more than 60 Catholic primary schools across Western Sydney. Following an outstanding presentation of his speech, “Be Your Best Friend, Not Your Worst Enemy”, William earned his place in the GRAND FINAL! On 22 September, William will take to the stage at Stanhope Gardens alongside six other talented finalists. What an incredible achievement, William! We are so proud of you and can’t wait to cheer you on in the Grand Final!

Today, Year 2 enjoyed a wonderful butterfly incursion as part of our learning about butterfly life cycles and all things butterflies. 🐛➡️🦋 The children had the special opportunity to hold sunflowers while the butterflies landed on their flowers, allowing them to see these beautiful creatures up close! It was a truly magical experience and the children were absolutely fluttering with excitement! 🌻🦋

Thank you to all the amazing Dad's who were able to join us for our Father's Day celebrations today. A wonderful breakfast was enjoyed by all (thanks P&F), a beautiful liturgy was led by Year 2 and we enjoyed opening all the classrooms, the Library space and our art gallery space for The Young Bernie's. Happy Father's Day for Sunday!
