Today Year 1 got to visit the St Bernadette museum in the school library. We got to see and touch lots of interesting artefacts from the past. It's been fun learning about how times have changed.

Congratulations to the Year 6 Debating team who took part in round 1 of the Hill Cluster Debating Competition. The topic for debate was "Books are better than movies" Both our Affirmative and Negative teams came away with a win today. All speakers should be very proud of themselves. Well Done.

Year 6 participated in Round 1 of the Hills Cluster Debating Competition today. Our debaters competed against Year 6 students from Christ the King, North Rocks and were successful in winning as both the affirmative and negative for the topic, Books are better than Movies. Congratulations and we look forward to our next debate!

Yesterday our staff came together to support the Cancer Council's Biggest Morning Tea. Lots of yummy treats were prepared by some avid bakers- Mrs. Crake, and Miss Morrow were voted St Bernie's Best Bakers👩🍳, closely followed by Mrs Evans. Thank you to the staff for their generosity in supporting such a worthy cause.

Yesterday 4B prayed the Angelus in our beautiful outdoor prayer space. The month of May is dedicated to Mary. It’s a time for new beginnings and the chance to begin with gratitude and devotion. Mary’s example teaches us faith, obedience, humility and most of all, how to love.
