We hatched a plan!
We’re eggs-hausted!
Our brains are fried!
It was a massive scramble!
But… we gave it a crack!
All students at St Bernadette’s contributed a piece of art to add to our Easter egg. We are so proud of their artworks and how joyous they make our Easter egg.
Here at St. Bernadette's, we explored the connection between the past and present of our community and the agricultural history of Castle Hill. Citrus represents our agricultural past as the Hills Shire was known as a major citrus producing region, the same hills our school sits on today. You will even find citrus trees blossoming in our school citrus orchard.
Eggs and orange blossoms connect with our poultry past, our thriving school chicken program and our Catholic belief of celebrating new life during the Easter season.
The vines of the orchard symbolise the community connection and diverse cultures within. Jesus is the vine, the true source of life for us believers and we are the fruit. Our vines are nurtured by those around us.
