Dance students impressed the crowd with a range of dazzling performances
Hundreds of students from 35 primary and secondary Catholic schools from across the Diocese showcased their creative talents in a series of music, dance and strings performances throughout June, culminating in the ‘Best Of’ performance on 23 June.
The showcase events demonstrated the high calibre of choral, music and dance work from Catholic schools, under the Parramatta Diocese’s creative and performing arts initiative, CAPTIVATE.
The program provides learning and performance experiences for students, as well as builds expertise and a sense of community across the system. CAPTIVATE is very popular with five new schools joining the program since last year.

What an amazing day Stage 3 had at the Soccer Gala Day! The day was filled with sunshine, fun, teamwork and friendship. Our students represented the school with pride, demonstrating outstanding sportsmanship, determination and some impressive soccer skills throughout the day. A big thank you to our wonderful parents for coming along to support and encourage the children. We are also incredibly grateful to the parents who generously volunteered their time to coach a team. Your support helped make the day such a success. Congratulations to all of our Stage 3 students on a fantastic day! Year 5 spent a lovely morning with some residents from BUPA Aged care last week. They spent time chatting and sharing stories, enjoyed a nice cup of tea and some delicious cake. They were also entertained by our school choir. The morning finished with a very exciting game of bingo, they were all winners.

What a fantastic day our Stage 3 students had today at the Touch Football Gala Day in St Marys! Despite a frosty morning start, the sun came out, and so did our Bernies spirit! Every single student showed incredible sportsmanship, played their hearts out, and most importantly, had a blast on the field. We are super proud of everyone’s efforts and fantastic team spirit!
