Dance students impressed the crowd with a range of dazzling performances

Hundreds of students from 35 primary and secondary Catholic schools from across the Diocese showcased their creative talents in a series of music, dance and strings performances throughout June, culminating in the ‘Best Of’ performance on 23 June.

The showcase events demonstrated the high calibre of choral, music and dance work from Catholic schools, under the Parramatta Diocese’s creative and performing arts initiative, CAPTIVATE.

The program provides learning and performance experiences for students, as well as builds expertise and a sense of community across the system. CAPTIVATE is very popular with five new schools joining the program since last year.

This week is Road Safety Week. Please take extra care when driving around our school, especially during drop-off and pick-up times. Slow down, stay alert and help keep our children safe. Every child deserves to arrive at school and home safely 💛

On Wednesday 55 students from both Stage 2 and 3 attended the Basketball Gala Day held at Hills Hornets. All teams showed determination, positivity and fantastic sportsmanship. It was a fun and competitive day. All teams who represented St Bernadette’s followed our school crest ‘Strength through Gentleness.’ Every single student who attended the day should be extremely proud of themselves. Thank you to all parents who took time out of their day to coach/manage and do the bench for their child’s team. We couldn’t have done it without you. A big congratulations to the Junior Boys White team who WON their grand final 15-9, playing against Redfield College! You boys played fantastic and have made yourselves and St Bernadette’s very proud! 🏀🎉 Miss Charlotte Davies Miss Annabel Graves
